The inner-city Des Moines Freedom Center, established in 2006, contains nine buildings. The six-acre campus includes a backyard with a basketball court, a large kitchen, a wood shop, an activity center, an art studio, a welding shop, a bike shop, and more.
The following after-school programs are offered for K-12th grade students:
PLEASE NOTE: Freedom for Youth is a community partner of the Des Moines Public Schools, so participants are required to complete the DMPS new electronic Parent/Guardian Online Release Form to participate in Freedom programs.
